Thank you for visiting our official Open Sky Music Festival Site.

On June 22, 2002 we saw our 6th annual event take place. The beautiful Big Bear weather cooperated with superb azure skies and cool mountain breezes. The afternoon of music brought some exceptional blues to the mountaintop including an encore jam with James Armstrong, Juke Logan and Doug MacLeod.

We must thank all our musicians, James, Juke, Doug, Poul Pedersen and Missiles of October and the dynamic Deborah Coleman. They made the day memorable and kept things cooking until the end.

Our thanks also go out to Melissa and Phil from the Blue Whale Lakeside Restaurant for providing some tasty edibles and boundless cold drinks. The food and beverage service this year ran without a hitch and we had many smiles from patrons and crew alike.

We extend our gratitude to all our tireless volunteers and our sound company Steve’s Audio, Steve Thompson and Jim Ash for making us sound so good.
